28 Days & I'm Rich!!

On 17th Nov, 2010 I turned 28 days old..and that called for some celebrations and gifts.   In the morning I was looking my best in a new dress that Aryan bhaiya got, mama and papa were also dressed up for the event...though papa appeared to be getting ready for office. We were joined by Aby uncle, Amita Aunty and Aryan Bhaiya. Ammama and Appapa said the prayers..and I wished Appappa had worn something other than his red & white lungi. Papa gave me  a micro-quantity of rice & turmeric symbolic of achieving this milestone. I love the next part...I had my first collection of gold jewellery. Ammama and Appapa had got me bangles, anklets, chain and 'Aranjanam' or belly chain from Dombivali. I was so excited, so was everyone...there was appam and potato stew..and paripu payasam in the evening.

My first Diwali

5th Nov, 2010. Diwali came with diya(s) and crackers. We had a beautiful rangoli that papa drew, lots of sweets, and all bhayias and didis were in their best of clothes. It would be a few years before I can join them in the festivities but I do wish them all a very happy diwali. The crackers were too loud, and I had a difficult time sleeping through the high decibel evening...gives me all the reason to support an eco-friendly diwail when I grow up. Aryan bhaiya watched 'buddy' light up the sparklers and flower pots, and kept saying that he is not afraid. I took lot of photos with mama, ammama, appapa and papa...I was looking my best in my red jumpsuit.

Moods of Teah

I woke up to a fine morning of Lakshmi Puja Day on 5th Nov. I took care of my empty stomach and then carelessly emptied my stomach...but then thats what i'm good at right now. The crackers went off all the time..was annoying me..was trying to be a brave girl. Then papa came with his cam, and i played along..cudn't help but pose.

My first bath

Oh I had my exotic bath session today. The ayurvedic spa treatment was provided by my Ammama (mom's mom). We got past the confusion regarding body oil to be applied, though my doc said to wait alteast for a week, ammama thought otherwise. So I went throught a full routine of Oil-massage, bathwater with Tulsi & Neem leaves, Raasnadi Powder on my head and 'vayambh' preparation on my tongue..after all this I was really tired and dozed off as ammama wrapped me up. I'm told that Aryan Bhaiya came later in the afternoon to see me, but then I was in deep sleep as he held me to take my pix.

First Visit to my Doc

I had my first visit to Doc. Meena, she is my pediatrician. I was so well behaved..in my best of behaviour..got lot of browny points. Doc measured my up..weighed me..and taught mama to feed me in many relaxing postures. I was also briefed about some vaccinations that are scheduled in the coming weeks. My mama & papa were asked to be relaxed and calm, which would also help me to feel good..thats a great advice for all parents!

My Home Coming Party

I got a rousing welcome when I reached home after 4 days of stay at L.H Hiranandani Hospital (I was born there). There was Appapa, Ammama, Aryan, Amita Aunty, Amita Aunty's dad & mom. My house was all decorated and we had a cake for the occasion.
